During the late evening hours on September 3rd, a few scattered thunderstorms developed over the Spring burn scar in Huerfano County. These storms slowly moved to the east-northeast producing heavy rainfall leading to flash flooding and debris flows on the Spring burn scar.

Began near La Veta (37.5100, -105.0400).
