The Mesonet Station AT714 in Grapevine measured a peak wind gust of 80 mph.

Wider weather episode

While dry weather prevailed across the area for much of November 29 and the morning of November 30, another low pressure system approached California during the afternoon of the 30th. This produced strong southerly winds with frequent gusts exceeding 60 mph at the base of the Grapevine along Interstate 5 during the afternoon and evening hours.
