Event narrative
Water was over the top of canal walls in Palm Coast and spread over grassy areas with morning high tide. Structures were not threatened by flood water. The tide gage at Mantanzas River near Bings Landing reported a high tide of 2 ft MHHW water datum around 10 am. Moderate flooding begins at 1.8 ft MHHW at this gage.
Wider weather episode
Seasonally high King Tides combined with strong onshore flow produced elevated tides generally in the Minor flood range during daily high tide.
