Event narrative

A spotter sent pictures of water levels within the Intracoastal Waterway overtopping docks and approaching the tops of sea walls about 1 mile ESE of Palm Coast. The tide gauge along the Matanzas River at Bings Landing was within Moderate Flood category at the time of this report.

Wider weather episode

Minor to moderate coastal flooding occurred due to the combined of seasonally high King Tides and strong onshore flow around a local Nor'Easter that was offshore of the SE Atlantic coast. A high risk of rip currents with a high surf for the NE FL coast was in effect with breakers of up to 7 feet mainly from St. Augustine southward.
