A peak south storm force wind gust of 48 knots was measured at the Fairport GLOS station.
Wider weather episode
An intense low pressure system moving from the Northern Plains across western Lake Superior produced storm force east to south winds across northern Lake Michigan and the Bay of Green Bay from the afternoon of the 21st into the morning of the 22nd.
