A strong storm system moving across the region produced snow, heavy at times across portions of southern Colorado. Some of the higher reported snow amounts with this event included six to nine inches near Cascade, Cedarwood, Colorado City, Colorado Springs, Del Norte, Divide, Kim, Leadville, Monument, Peyton and Woodland Park. Ten to twelve inches of snow was measured near Aguilar, the Air Force Academy, Black Forest, Canon City, Cuchara, Palmer Lake, Trinidad and Westcliffe. 13 to 15 inches of snow was observed near Beulah, Rye and Walsenburg respectively, while locations near San Isabel recorded an impressive 20 inches of snow with this event.
