The Tick Fire burned 4615 acres in the Canyon County area of Los Angeles county. The combination of warm and dry Santa Ana winds and critically dry vegetation allowed for significant fire growth. The fire destroyed 23 homes and damaged 40 other residences. During the incident, four firefighter injuries were reported.
