Heavy snow fell in the Bear River Range with 13 inches recorded at the Franklin Basin SNOTEL site.

Wider weather episode

A late October intrusion of arctic air also brought snow and hazardous travel conditions to southeast Idaho. Some roads closed as well as School District 25 in Pocatello as snow combined with strong winds and very cold temperatures.
