Sixteen foot in diameter water tanks knocked over.
Wider weather episode
The first outbreak of severe weather occurred across eastern New Mexico on the afternoon and evening of the 5th. A storm system churning off the northern Baja California coast was able to draw significant low level moisture from the Gulf of Mexico into the state on the 5th, helping trigger the outbreak. Isolated storms became severe shortly after noon on the 5th and continued past 800 pm in the evening.
