Snowfall totals from 8 to 14 inches were observed across the area with the heaviest snow near in Tok. A COOP observer in Tok reported a storm total snowfall of 14 inches and a Storm Spotter at the Robertson River reported 10 inches. The heavy snow impacted the Alaska Highways with travel delays.
Wider weather episode
Low pressure moving from the northeast Gulf of Alaska into the eastern Interior along the Alaska-Yukon Territory produced heavy snow over portions of the eastern Interior and Alaska Range October 9-11th. Storm total snowfall ranged from 8 inches to 14 inches, heaviest in the Alaska range and upper Tanana Valley.
