The Maria Fire started in late October across the valleys of Ventura county, near the community of Santa Paula and burned into early November. Due to warm and dry Santa Ana winds as well as critically dry vegetation, the fire continued to burn into early November, eventually burning 9999 acres. Fortunately, no significant damages or injuries were reported.
