A peak water level of 6.3 ft MLLW occurred at the USGS tidal gauge at Hudson Bay at Freeport from 2019-10-29 08:12 EST to 2019-10-29 08:54 EST. The moderate coastal flood threshold of 6.2 ft MLLW was exceeded from 2019-10-29 07:54 EST to 2019-10-29 09:06 EST.

Wider weather episode

An approaching storm initially produced moderate coastal flooding across the south shore back bays of New York City and western Long Island, and on Long Island Sound in Westchester County on the 27th. After the storm passed, easterly winds as high pressure built into New England also produced moderate coastal flooding in the back bay areas on the 29th.
