2019-12-07 to 2019-12-08 · Olomana, Hawaii
Wider weather episode
A large swell shifting from the north to northeast generated surf of 6 to 12 feet along the east-facing shores of Kauai, Oahu, Molokai, Maui, and the Big Island. The surf was high enough on the Big Island on the 7th that an over-wash occurred along Bayfront Highway in Hilo that left debris on the roadway, and a foot of standing water was observed on Coconut Island. Otherwise, no serious property damage or injuries were reported.
