Event narrative
Several rounds of precipitation fell across the county during the day and evening hours. Rain, freezing rain and snow all occurred producing a glaze of ice and a dusting of snow that caused roads to become icy. There was 1 fatality as a vehicle lost control on an ice covered roadway and struck a pedestrian that was standing near another vehicle that had crashed prior to this incident.
Wider weather episode
A couple of rounds of mixed wintry precipitation impacted southwest and central Missouri. Round 1 occurred December 15 and round 2 December 16. Storm totals snows were generally 2 to 3 inches of snow from Lebanon to Rolla, Missouri. A few locations also reported a glaze to 1/10 of an inch of ice.
