Skagway DOT estimated 8 inches of snow at 8 mile on the Klondike Highway and 6 inches near White Pass along with 3 foot drifts. White out conditions were also reported.

Wider weather episode

Strong synoptic front with 70 kt low level jet at 850 mb. Over-running caused snow at White Pass and in Hyder.
