Cold west winds blowing across northern Lake Michigan produced lake effect snow in northern lower Michigan. A narrow band of heavy lake effect impacted the tip of lower Michigan, including parts of Emmet and Cheboygan Counties. The Aloha area topped out at about 13 inches of new snow.
