I-84 closed near Meacham due to downed power lines on the road. Also Highway 204 between Weston and Elgin close due to high winds.

Wider weather episode

Strong winds impacted a large area of central and northeast Oregon with the passage of a cold front during the day on Sunday, February 23rd. Widespread winds of 20-40 mph with gusts of 50-55 mph were reported. Winds reached locally damaging levels in portions of the Blue Mountain Foothills, Northern Blue Mountains and in the city of Bend.
