Reports of heavy snowfall rates in Wrangell. Total snow accumulations ranged from 5 to 9 inches in Wrangell and Petersburg.

Low pressure caused overrunning snow for portions of the southern panhandle January 9th and 10th. Warm air caused a change over to rain, then back to snow resulting in highly variable accumulations.
