Icy roads contributed to a fatal two-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 14 three miles west of Wessington in Hand county. One person died and another was seriously injured. A pickup was westbound on U.S. Highway 14 when the driver lost control due to icy conditions and slid into and eastbound pickup.
