Wider weather episode
A deepening low pressure system moved into the Great Lakes while dragging a strong cold front into the Southern Appalachian region. Widespread storm damage was reported from straight line winds impacting Central East and Northeast Tennessee. Instability was limited with this event however, shear was quite strong.
