Event narrative

A fatal car accident occurred on I-74 between the State Road 9 and State Road 44 exits shortly after noon. A westbound Honda crossed over the median and collided with an eastbound Nissan. Three males in the Honda were injured, and one of them, who has not been identified, died at IU Health-Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Snow was falling at the time and was determined to possibly be the cause of the accident.

Wider weather episode

A brief snow event on March 14th brought slick road conditions to central Indiana. During the event, a fatal car accident occurred in Shelby County with generally fair road conditions across much of the rest of central Indiana.
