The combination of a swell from the southern hemisphere and a trade wind swell generated surf of 6 to 12 feet along the east- and south-facing shores of Kauai, Oahu, Molokai, Maui, and the Big Island; and along the south-facing shores of Niihau, Lanai, and Kahoolawe. No serious injuries or property damage were reported.
