Event narrative

Six structures flooded, including two community centers that are used as polling sites. The Cleveland Community Center had 11 inches or sewage backup from the sewer system. Four homes flooded, culverts washed out, some livestock drowned or washed away. Twenty four families were unable to get their vehicles out or get emergency responders in. Mudslide in the Swords Creek area.

Wider weather episode

A cold front extending from the Texas coast to the southern Appalachians experienced little movement as low pressure systems moved northeastward along the boundary. This resulted in heavy rainfall of 5 to 6 inches across most of area.
