In Holyoke at 915 AM EST (1015 AM EDT) amateur radio reported a tree down on a car on Columbia Street. In West Springfield at 934 AM EST there was a large tree down on wires in Mittineague Park and at 1114 AM EST there was a large tree down on a house and car on Piper Rd. In Southwick at 1052 AM EST there was a tree down on Klaus Anderson Rd and at 1122 AM EST there was a tree and wires down on George Loomis Rd.

The wider storm

A powerful low pressure system tracked across the Great Lakes and brought strong and damaging winds to all of Massachusetts Monday late morning through the evening. A very strong and highly anomalous low level jet brought southerly wind gusts of 60-70 mph ahead of a cold front that moved through Monday evening.
