What EF0 means. On the Enhanced Fujita scale, EF0 is light damage: shingles and siding peeled, gutters torn, branches broken, consistent with estimated gusts of 65–85 mph. The rating comes from a survey of the worst damage after the storm, not from a wind measurement, so it says as much about what the tornado hit as about how strong it was.

What the National Weather Service wrote

An EF0 tornado with max winds near 80 mph touched down about 5 miles SE of Ambrose and traveled about 1.5 miles before lifting near Highway 32. Mobile homes were severely damaged and an eighteen wheeler was overturned near Bushnell.

The wider storm

A pre-frontal squall line with embedded supercells will moved across interior southeast Georgia during the early morning hours and reached the Suwannee Valley just before daybreak. Very strong shear and instability phased across SE GA during the morning hours where there were supercells, one that produced two tornado touchdowns. The pre-frontal line slowed down and gradually weakened as it moved into NE Florida into the afternoon, but severe storms continued to be possible due to weakening dynamics and remaining surface based instability.

Began near Bushnell (31.5500, -82.9600).
