Event narrative

The Heard County Emergency Manager reported numerous trees and power lines blown down across southern portions of the county.

Wider weather episode

A developing surface low along a sharp cold front produced a line of thunderstorms that swept across portions of north and central Georgia. An area of very strong winds accompanied a portion of this line across several counties with numerous reports of downed trees, damaged structures and power outages.
