Trained weather spotter 3 miles west-southwest of Gardnerville Ranchos reported 1.29 inches of rainfall in a 48-hour period from 6 December 1835PST to 8 December 1835PST.

Wider weather episode

An atmospheric river associated with a large mid-latitude cyclone brought rainfall and snowfall to the Sierra Nevada and Western Nevada over the course of three days. Liquid totals were between 1 and 2 inches across foothill locations west of Reno, Carson City, and Minden. For the Reno-Carson City-Minden areas, liquid totals ranged between 0.50 and 1.00 inches. Snowfall totals along the higher terrain of the Carson Range were between 1 to 2 feet.
