Snow began falling during the afternoon hours of the 5th and by the early overnight hours, around 14 inches of new snow accumulated at Mount Baker Ski Area. Snow then began to taper off through the afternoon hours of the 6th.

A weather system brought snowfall to the Cascades Mountains at the beginning of the month, with the heaviest snowfall impacting the Northern Cascades.
