Event narrative

The Clark Fork River flooded the Orchard Homes neighborhood in Missoula. Neighborhood streets turned into streams, with 10 to 15 homes sandbagged and surrounded by flood water. Flooding continued through the second week of June.

Wider weather episode

Widespread moderate to heavy rainfall between one and two inches, combined with mountain snow melt, brought the Clark Fork River above Missoula over flood stage.
