A 27-year old man became the first drowning victim in Pensacola Beach waters since September 2005. The out-of-town resident was not breathing and had no pulse when lifeguards pulled him ashore behind the Emerald Isle condominiums at about 330 pm. Red flags were flying due to rough surf that day.
