Hidden Falls hatchery measured 8.0 inches of new snow for 24 hours ending at 1300 2/5. Analyses indicated that most of this snow fell midday on Tuesday 2/5.

Wider weather episode

A 983 MB gale force low rapidly developed in the eastern Gulf of Alaska on Tuesday morning, 2/5. This low dissipated over the Panhandle on the evening of Tuesday, 2/5, causing heavy snow inland during the day.
