Reports were received from both law enforcement and a storm chaser in Stonewall County of hail ranging from half dollar to golf ball size.

On the afternoon of the 22nd, thunderstorms developed across the Big Country of Texas into the southern Rolling Plains in the vicinity of an intersection of a dryline and a remnant outflow boundary. Ample instability allowed thunderstorms to quickly become severe producing hail up to golf ball size in Aspermont (Stonewall County).
