Event narrative

County comms reported numerous trees and power lines blown down across Franklin County. The hardest hit area was the Gumlog community, where some structural damage occurred, mainly due to trees and large limbs falling on structures.

Wider weather episode

A strong storm system impacted the Southeast, resulting in a line of strong to severe thunderstorms that moved across northeast Georgia during the early morning hours of the 13th. This resulted in severe weather, including a couple of tornadoes.
