Pictures were posted on social media of a toppled outdoor play set and a roof was torn off a horse corral near Buffalo, Wyoming.
Wider weather episode
A shortwave and Pacific moisture combined to produce severe weather across portions of western and central Wyoming. The worst damage was in Afton, Wyoming, where a microburst occurred. A wind gust of 60 mph was reported at the Afton, Wyoming airport. Numerous trees were blown down in the Star Valley, and there were numerous reports of power outages in the Star Valley. Further northeast, golf ball size hail was reported at Buffalo, Wyoming and nickel sized hail at Riverton, Wyoming.
