Several vehicles were trapped in flood waters in Ocean City, around the intersection of West Avenue and Third Street, and on Asbury Avenue.

Thunderstorms brought heavy rain to New Jersey on the afternoon of July 6. Rainfall amounts as high as 2 to 4 inches fell in parts of the state.
