Multiple roads were reported washout across central Sampson County, including near Highway 24 and Summerhill Road, Curtis Ivey Road and Summerhill Road, Six Runs Church Road and Old Warsaw Road, and the 5000 block of Dave Bright Road.

Wider weather episode

Multicellular to transient supercell thunderstorms produced strong to isolated damaging wind gusts over the Piedmont and Sandhills. Thunderstorms also anchored along a quasi-stationary outflow boundary over Sampson County and produced significant flooding from Clinton to Turkey.
