The remnants of tropical storm Bertha advanced across the region combined with very high shear and low instability caused by the passed of a trough to create a couple rounds of heavy showers and thunderstorms. Because of the fast storm movement, widespread flooding did not occur, however storm damage was noted over portions of the area with attendant high winds over marine areas as the storms moved through as well.
