Event narrative
The county 911 Dispatch reported a tree to have been blown down due to thunderstorm winds on Hwy 2009 near Robins Branch Road.
Wider weather episode
A stationary boundary across the region, in addition to warm and humid conditions, created an atmosphere conducive to showers and thunderstorms. Without much wind shear, most of these storms were short lived and slow moving. However, a few storms did sustain themselves and become strong enough to produce strong to severe wind gusts, resulting in several downed trees where they occurred.
