Event narrative

Numerous SNOTEL stations reported heavy snow, including Pine Creek with 2.8 inches of snow water equivalent, or about 33 inches of snow, Bobs Hollow with 1.4 inches of snow water equivalent, or about 21 inches of snow, and Pickle Keg with 1.3 inches of snow or about 19 inches of snow. In addition, the COOP Observer at Fremont Indian State Park reported 11 inches of snow.

Wider weather episode

A winter storm moved across Utah and created widespread impacts along the Wasatch Front on January 21 due to heavy snowfall.
