As a Mesoscale Convective Complex (MCC) moved offshore Deep South Texas and into the lower Texas coastal waters on the morning of May 25th, a strong surge of marine thunderstorm winds moved off the coast of Kenedy County. Buoy RLIT2 recorded gusts near 46 knots from 7 to 7:12 AM CDT.
