Kenosha lakeshore observation platform measured strong, gusty winds of 40-43 knots for about 10 minutes.

During the mid to late afternoon on August 10th, a line of severe thunderstorms moved from southeast Wisconsin over the near shore and open waters of Lake Michigan. Several periods of strong, gusty winds were reported by lakeshore observation stations.
