Event narrative

There was a social media video taken just northeast of Nisula of at least twenty healthy trees snapped off about a quarter of the way from the ground with numerous other trees uprooted. The time of the delayed report was estimated from radar.

Wider weather episode

A cold front moving through a moist, unstable and strongly sheared environment produced severe thunderstorms over portions of west and central Upper Michigan from late evening on the 18th into the early morning of the 19th.
