A tree was blown down on WV-90 Henry Dobbin Highway near East Portal Road.

Wider weather episode

An outflow boundary from a decaying convective system triggered an isolated severe thunderstorm over northern Virginia around midday. A cold front then triggered an organized line of thunderstorms which produced scattered to numerous damaging wind gusts over eastern West Virginia, western Maryland, and northern into central Virginia as well as the DC metro area.
