A mature waterspout was observed about two miles south of Alligator Reef Light and reported via social media. The condensation cloud was vertical and a spray ring was visible.

Wider weather episode

Isolated waterspouts were observed in association with numerous showers and scattered thunderstorms near the Florida Keys. A deep moisture boundary was located nearby along with high altitude cyclonic flow.
