Event narrative
Several people were swimming near a boat in Monroe Harbor when the boat was blown into a break wall by strong winds from a thunderstorm. One of the swimmers, a woman, went under water and did not surface. Her body was found the next morning.

Scattered thunderstorms along with an outflow boundary moved across southern Lake Michigan during the evening of July 7th.
