A peak wind gust of 64 mph was measured by the automated weather station at the Craig-Moffat Airport.

As high pressure remained centered over the Southern Plains, monsoonal moisture advected north across the western slope of Colorado. This led to scattered showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon and early evening hours, some of which produced severe wind gusts across northwest Colorado.
