A cold front moved across eastern North Dakota and the northwest quarter of Minnesota on Sunday, August 9th. Abundant moisture remained in place, with dew points in the upper 60s to lower 70s. Thunderstorms formed across the area, producing large hail, damaging wind gusts, and tornadoes.
