A severe thunderstorm producing winds estimated near 60 mph knocked down trees and wires across Route 522 near Back Run Road, closing the roadway to traffic.

Wider weather episode

Scattered storms developed across southern Pennsylvania during the afternoon and early evening hours on July 21, 2020 in a low-CAPE, and relatively modest shear environment. These storms produced sporadic wind damage as they pushed eastward across southern Pennsylvania.
