A 16 year old male was struck by lightning while under a tree in a yard. He died from his injuries on July 9th.
Wider weather episode
Diurnally driven showers and thunderstorms formed during the afternoon hours and caused wind damage across parts of the Metroplex. Lightning struck a teenager in Dallas County, and the male passed away a week later.
