Several trees uprooted along Highway 26.
Wider weather episode
A MCS moving southward out of Tennessee encountered a very unstable air mass across Central Alabama. Surface based CAPE values were 3000-5000 J/kg ahead of the MCS. The leading edge of the MCS produced widespread wind damage during the late morning and afternoon hours.
